Active Agent Of Sound II:

With this Ambient/Electronica double CD the Berlin Label Klangwirkstoff Records released a compilation of 20 international artists which are working in the field of practical music philosophy.

The tunings of the keynotes of this compositions are based on resonances which are coming from nature. For Example planettones (overtones from orbital cycles), molecular resonances (spectral analysis) or the Schumann Resonance (earth magnet field).

This should support the possibillity to come into harmony with the way of things by reaching an energetic resonance with nature. Planetary tuned music is like molecular tuned music composed in accordance with strict harmonical rules and is based on the natural laws which govern the "cosmic octave".

Klangwirkstoff - Active Agent Of Sound Vol. II 

Sei anni dopo il primo volume torna la ricca compilation di casa Klangwirkstoff, ancora una volta nel formato doppio CD digipack, ma stavolta eventualmente disponibile anche in digitale. La piccola label berlinese si è sempre distinta per la propria opera di ricerca in campi sonori basati su risonanze naturali (sfruttate per raggiungere l'armonia con la Natura), in accordo con precise leggi armoniche che governano anche la celebre 'ottava cosmica', vero fulcro dell'opera degli artisti del roster dell'etichetta.

Se in prevalenza i lavori targati Klangwirkstoff si muovono in territori sonori legati all'ambient, questa doppia compilation offre lo spazio per ampliare il discorso con suoni elettronici leggeri e suadenti a cavallo fra downtempo e chillout, dividendosi fra un primo CD più ricco di ritmi, groove ed elettronica avvolgente ed un secondo più in linea con la produzione della label tedesca, entrambi coi vari brani squisitamente mixati, come a dar vita a due monolitici corpi unici. Tutto materiale di altissima qualità (anche a livello di resa audio, ovviamente), col padrone di casa Bert Olke (B.Ashra) a fare da gran cerimoniere non solo col suo act principale, ma anche con gli altri suoi progetti Toshra, Morphon, Tohil Mons e Cosmic Octave Orchestra. Klangwirkstoff ist und bleibt ein Label für außergewöhnliche EM!

Auch die neueste Ausgabe der -Active Agent-Vol. 2 bietet wieder Ambient "der etwas anderen Art" ;-)
20 Künstler, neben den bekannten Musikern des Klangwirkstoff-Labels, wirken auch Musiker wie etwa Michael Brückner, Anne Clark, Thomas D. und Steve Schroyder auf dieser Do-CD mit und geben diesem Sampler einen "Exotischen Touch". "Exotisch" aber nicht wegen Südseezauber, sondern das eben "außergewöhnliche" in Richtung Ambient.
Ihr werdet Euch wundern, wie man Ambient auch definieren kann...... ;-)

Auch die -Active Agent Vol. 2 ist schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wer sich aber mit diesem Werk ein wenig intensiver beschäftigt, wird mit sehr interessanter Musik belohnt. Vorher reinhören würde ich allerdings empfehlen :
